Letter from the Director of Music
PARISH
MUSIC GROUPS:
Festival
Choir - rehearses every Wednesday evening from
8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in church. Men and women high school
age and older are welcome. to join. This choir primarily
sings for the Sunday, 10:00 a.m. Liturgy.
Instrumentalists - Men and women high
school age and beyond who play an instrument and would
be willing to provide additional accompaniment for select
liturgies throughout the year. This ensemble will rehearse
as needed (no regular weekly rehearsal).
Teen Ensemble - for teens in 8th grade
(school or Religious Ed.) through high school. This
new ensemble encompasses teens who can either sing or
play and instrument, or do both. Primary responsibility
will be providing music for the monthly Teen Liturgies,
and for Holidays.
CHILDREN’S CHOIRS:
Choristers - for boys and girls in
grades 4 through 8 enrolled in the parish elementary
school or Religious Education program. This choir rehearses
every Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in
church, and primarily sings for the monthly Family Mass
at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday’s, and for Holidays.
Junior Choristers - for boys and girls
in grades 1 through 3 enrolled in the parish elementary
school or Religious Education program. This choir rehearses
every Thursday afternoon from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. in church,
and sings bi-monthly liturgies, some Family Masses and
for Holidays.
