For the final two Wednesdays, Father Richard Fragomeni, renowned theologian, liturgist and speaker, will preside at these Masses. We hope to have his preaching topics soon. Whatever they may be, they are sure to be informative and uplifting. Also, Stations of the Cross followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament are celebrated each Friday during Lent. You can pray the Stations any time with the aid of the Lenten key fob we handed out for Lent. There are a few left in the baskets at the entrances of Church. HELP WANTED Our Parish needs your help in several areas. Are you able to assist in any of these ways: Helping to count the weekend collection. Your team would work on a Sunday morning once every four or five weeks. Help the Athletic Association, especially with the Lenten Friday Fish Fries. Work on a Steering Committee which would begin to plan for our Parish’s 100th Anniversary in the year 2012. Your assistance is really needed and would be greatly appreciated. For further information or to volunteer your talents, please contact one of the priests at the rectory. THOUGHTS ON THE GOSPEL The fig tree in today’s Gospel represents each of us. The Lord steps into our lives and looks for the fruit we bear: mercy, care, love. By bearing this type of fruit now in life, we’re preparing our “crown up in the heavens.” During Lent may we prayerfully examine our lives, our relationships, our opportunities. S aint Joseph, pray for us, and let us pray for one another!
